Vintage 1950-60s Waltham Sea Lion 17J Manual Wind Men's Watch - Excellent Condition

The Waltham Sea Lion was produced during the late 1950s to early 1960s as a durable, everyday men’s watch, marketed with features such as shock resistance and anti-magnetic protection. Powered by a 17-jewel manual wind movement, the Sea Lion line is known for reliability, clean mid-century styling, and solid construction. While these watches are not rare, examples that survive with sharp cases, well-preserved dials, and strong mechanical performance are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This vintage men’s Waltham Sea Lion manual wind watch is an outstanding example, presenting in excellent overall condition with a crisp, textured dial, clean case, and sharp lugs that retain their original lines. The crystal shows only very light surface wear that does not affect readability, and the chrome-top case with stainless steel back remains bright and well preserved. The watch is running exceptionally well, posting impressive timegrapher results of approximately ±3 seconds per day, ~300° amplitude, and a 1.4 ms beat error, which is far above average for a piece of this era. It comes fitted with a period-correct expansion bracelet that complements the watch nicely and makes it immediately wearable.
