Vintage Gruen Veri-Thin 1940s Small Seconds Manual Wind Tank Men's Watch - Needs Service

Rare vintage Gruen Veri-Thin tank-style watch with a classy dial layout and a small seconds sub-dial, offering that iconic mid-century dress look in a slim, elegant case. The dial, crystal, and case all show honest signs of age and use, but they present very well overall and the watch has excellent wrist presence—especially paired with the vintage JB Champion expansion band, which shows wear yet remains fully functional and flexible. The watch retains its original crown. Important mechanical note: the movement is fragile and is not running consistently—it is currently operating but timegrapher readings show approximately +60 seconds/day, ~201° amplitude, and a very high 9.5 ms beat error, and the watch periodically skips beats. Because of this, it should be considered a project / service-required piece, and continued accuracy and long-term function cannot be guaranteed in its current state.
