Vintage Timex Viscount 1969 Date Automatic Stainless Steel Men's Watch

The Timex Viscount was part of Timex’s higher-tier automatic offerings during the late 1960s, known for combining reliable self-winding movements with clean, modern dial designs and durable stainless steel cases. Viscount models were positioned above basic hand-wind Timex watches and remain popular today for their timeless styling, ease of ownership, and strong vintage appeal. This is one of the cleanest vintage Timex Viscount automatic watches I have had in my possession, featuring a beautifully preserved sunburst champagne dial with applied markers, date window at 3 o’clock, and period-correct expansion bracelet in excellent condition. The stainless steel case remains crisp with minimal wear and sharp lines, while the dial shows no notable spotting or degradation and retains all of its original character. The acrylic crystal shows only light blemishes, significantly less than typically seen on this model, and remains clear and easy to read. The automatic movement is running and was tested on a timegrapher, showing approximately –60 seconds per day, ~210 degrees of amplitude, and a 4.1 ms beat error, indicating good overall health for a vintage Timex automatic. Dial codes read 34110 and 10880, consistent with late 1960s production. Overall, this is an exceptional example of a classic American automatic watch that stands well above average condition.
